yeah....finally.
...
In a nutshell:
The Retreat: The cabins were surprisingly cozy and super moder with a bathroom with heated tiles...even though I had to share it with EVERY GIRL IN THE CLASS.
Oh look...this form says, 'please leave all cell phones, iPods, etc. at home'. Being the good, rule-abiding person
I am, I follow instructions. AND OH WOW EVERYONE HAS BROUGHT THEIR CELL PHONE, iPOD, ETC.
Hoo-hoo.
Disneyland/Youth Day: NO WORDS FOR TEH YAY.
Easter/My Birthday: hell yes TWICE THE SUGAR. and fun. And OMG I'm sixteen don't ya know.
Confirmation: I got to see my godfather Michel (not Michael,it's french and it's said like 'Michelle') again! (he was
my spomsor) and oh my goodness he cracks me up.
I wore a preety indigo sundress from Sway and a pale yellow jacket to cover up and be modest in church ( most girls have either not been cued in to this and/or are just lack class anyway)
Michel: Hey...*motions to a old classmate wearing a kinda tacky minidress and leggings* is she getting confirmed too?
Me: Yeah.
Michel: *furrows brow and looks puzzled* Then why is she dressed like a tart?
Me: O, her? She can't help it. And we try to wait until we are sure people are out of earshot
before gossiping about them.
oh my god. XD
And yeah. Was cool. I never have to see them again! :DDD
I got into AP US History huzzah for that.
I got a laptop for my birthday and a tablet as a (late) Confirmation gift and my new iPod is getting sick ;__; woe.
things are pretty much great, even though I haven't done shit for summer reading.
Well I'm getting tired, and I'm leavin for Vegas/Sedona/Moab/Wyoming on the tenth, so...ttfn, all.

I knwo, i really should give up sonmething for forty days, but I really, really don't want to. I'll.....say I'm praying instead. Yeah....praying.
Well, today, most unfortunately, I have a Retreat: I leave at six-ish today and wil be back at noon-ish sunday. Of course, that leaves me about half a day to do this weekend's homework. Bleh.
I forsee:
-hours of derogatory forced bonding "ice breakers" (the irony here is that everyone--myself included--in my confirmation group went to the same elementery school for at leadst 5 years. I went for nine (K-8), so...these people are nothing new, and I would really rather not see most of them again becuase most of them are so doggam clicky and tragically born without brainstems.
-dividing into groups that will inevitably consists of people you never wanted to talk to and vice versa-butcher paper and washable marker posters, lists, etc.
-skits of modern-day interpretations of Biblical verses
-a question logue that includes such classics like "How do you use your talents/gifts to serve God/spread the word of Christ?"
-a "heart-to-heart" or "what I'm thankful for"session...most likely by candlelight.
-a reflection journal (possibly Lent related) that I will inevitably fill with doodles-An extra-long Mass on Sunday which will suck because we will be sleeping in SLEEPING BAGS for two nights, and prolly not have access to showers.WHOA EARTHQUAKE JUST THEN. Huh...good or bad omen? Prolly bad.
Melissa, our Youth Minister who is made of fifteen kinds of awesome, also called yesterday saying I needed a release form for the Rock Wall/Rope Course.
wtf.
I prefer activities where gravity is not an immediate danger to my health, thanks.
Well, I should pack. And eat something.
ON A NICER NOTE: I am going to Anaheim for the annual LA YouthDay thingy next week. 1,500 sugared-up Caflicks in the same arena.
Plus, DISNEYLAND FOR 1.5 DAYS AND MISSING SCHOOL FOR IT OMFGYAYZ. Bweeeeeeeeee!
And I have a bunch of icons to post. Yay.

English:
Our teacher has a habit of just not showing up some days ("Oh, btw, I'm not going to be here friday. Sux for you.") She wasn't here today, but she left us tons of stupid busy work about Jane Eyre. I like the book, but I hate answering loads of dumbass tedious questions that waste paper. Yes, Miss Temple defied our expectations of Lowood. I know why, woman, but I don't want to write a bloody paragraph about it....or any of the other fifteen questions. Gah.
Algebra 2:

Mom is helping out at the annual Crab Feed, so i have to cook dinner now so my poor dad doesn't come home and think 'Eh, nuffnk for dinner tonight' and just eats a bowl of cereal.

Christams cannot come soon enough (although most stores around here have had their xmas shit up for weeks already); I STILL have no iPod (poor poor me) and my getting a new one depends if I get five A's out of seven classes. This puts a serious damper on things for someone as lazy as me.
I have lotsa icons made, I just need to figure out how to post them.
I don't have the DMC dvd yet. December 5th seems months off. Gah. Too bad I hear the extras are mediocre.
My friend wore a false moustache in school yesterday. It was brillaint. I'm waiting for her to send me the pictures I took with her camera. SO funny. Yeah...I guess you had to be there.

Fairly long review follows. Yeah, my face was pretty much o_O for a lot of the movie--that or I was laughing, making comments to my friend,("The dogs are the only atheists! That's why they look so panicked and depressed all the time!") or muttering "Puh-LEEZE" under my breath.
( Warlocks are not heroes! )
There's a new ice cream place called Ici that's absolutely delicious--pricey, but delicious. We went there after the movie. Mojito sorbet + cookie-like cone that had the pleasant surprise of chocolate at the bottom = love.
I've got 'Spirit in the Sky' stuck in my head now.
